What is original vintage and how to recognize it
The term "vintage" refers to a period between 20 and 80 years prior to the current moment: it can be an object, a fashion, a thought ... anything produced or conceived in a past era and precisely identifiable by specific characteristics attributable to the moment in which it was made.
Therefore, not everything can be automatically said vintage: a used object simply is an object used if it does not have peculiarities as per the period to which it belongs. A newly produced object with distinctive elements of previous ages must be defined as "retro" or "remake" while we talk about "antiques" for objects dating back over 80 years.
So how to distinguish the original vintage? There are some simple rules that can help even the less experienced ones to do not make mistakes in the choice of products.
For example with clothing the real vintage cannot be available in sizes and quantities: since these are items no longer on the market, beware of those who present the same garment in different sizes and in unlimited quantities. Certainly it can happen that those who sell have been very lucky to meet stocks or inventories, but this is a very rare fact. It usually is remake, not real vintage.
There always is the possibility that an object has been bought and never used, but as we know this is an exception, especially if we talk about big brands that are often purchased just as a demonstration of a certain social status or distinction or fashion. Also beware of those who present you bags and shoes in different variations such as color and size, they are probably selling you remake.
Also knowing how to distinguish materials and types of workmanship is important, for example the stitching of a handmade garment is very different from that made by industrial machineries and in particular to this regard the exceptional quality of Italian craftsmanship is what "Made in Italy" brand has been invented for and that can be applied to many sectors of our local economy.
